As the money is taken in on these reproductions of my painting, "CITY COUNCIL" I will proceed with the building of a full length portrait monument, in Colorado Granite, of ROBERT W. SPEER, former Builder and Mayor of Denver. When the monument is completed it will be offered to the City of Denver as a lasting tribute, built by the people of Denver, to the memory of Robert W. Speer, whose lifetime philosophy of accomplishment has been summed up in the short phrase "Build and Give while you Live."
