Detail of the east wing of Berthoud Hall, Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Jefferson County, shows the elaborate Beaux Arts terra cotta work around the entry with flanking lanterns, pilasters next to the second story windows and decorative brackets under overhanging roof eaves. Designed by Denver architect Temple Hoyne Buell and named for Edward R. Berthoud, Golden pioneer, Mines trustee, and professor.
