The house was built for Stella Blackman during 1881-82, and then was owned by Henry Seifried. The view is of the back of the house; on the back of the house two bay windows are visible. Tables are being set up for a party; a woman in slacks exits the house, and a man on the left bends over a chair, Picnic tables, card tables and wooden folding chairs are on the lawn.
