Georgians known to be in this photograph in 1892 are: Ivane Makharadze (leader), Luka Chkhartishvili, Dimitri Mgaloblishvili, Vaso Chkonia, Data Chkonia, Irakli Chkonia, Levan Jorbenadze, Mose Gigineishvili, Besarion Tsintsadze, and Meliton Tsintsadze. A landscape scene is painted on the backdrop around the arena. The tops of several buildings are visible above the arena in the distance.
