Summary	Werner Carl Schwartzmiller with blood covered forehead lies on the floor of Warden Best's office. He was recaptured after leading the break from the State Penitentiary in Canon City, Colorado. A paper matchbook, paper cup, and the shoes of his captors surround him. A metal clip connected to his bonds lies by his arm.
