Summary	Mine shafthouse protrudes into the right background at the top of another hill. Two small buildings stand in the foreground. Telegraph or telephone poles stand between the two buildings.; The St. Aloysius Academy, a Catholic school, stands in the center background on Gunnell Hill in Central City, Colorado. The school was opened in 1875 and operated until 1917. The building was demolished in the 1930s and a memorial to Ida Kruse McFarlane, a woman who was instrumental in founding the Central City Opera House Association, was built at the site. On the hill in the left background is the shafthouse for the Brooklyn Mine. A portion of the St. Louis-Gunnell
