John C. White, a stage driver during the mining boom in Eldora in Boulder County, Colorado, poses for a studio bust portrait. Eldora experienced its boom near the end of the 19th century. White drove the stage route between Eldora and Boulder through the Boulder Canyon. He spent the later years of his life living in Nederland. He wears a hat and a three-piece suit with a striped tie.
