A group of men work to excavate a room in the Bone Awl House, a cliff dwelling in Mesa Verde National Park. Deric Nusbaum, right, helps them in one of his first excavations under his stepfather Jesse's supervision. Several rooms have been excavated and the men, wearing masks, work on the second room in. Coats and gloves are on the ledge near where they work. A canister is on the ledge above Deric and a box sits on a ledge behind him.
