Summary	A flagpole bearing the American flag stands on the street. Several mines and shafthouses dot the hillsides surrounding the town.; Horse-drawn wagons travel up and down Gregory Street in Blackhawk, Colorado, in Gilpin County. Signs are on the storefronts of "The Colorado Shoe" the "Black Hawk Bakery", the "Little Market" and the "Golden Bee." The bakery has a sign advertising Baxter's cigars on its front. The Blackhawk schoolhouse and Presbyterian church stand next to each other on the hill above the dirt road in the right background. The Stroehle Boiler and Machine Shop is in the center foreground.
