A flagpole is in the street. The Presbyterian church is on a hill beside the Black Hawk Schoolhouse. The Stroehle Boiler and Machine Shop is amid mine buildings with smokestacks. Railroad and ore car tracks are near a frame building with timber piles and railroad cars with lettering that reads: "Union Pacific, Denver & Gulf."
