Notes
Newspaper clipping glued to back of photoprint reads: "A 2x3 foot Denver Post sign, prescription orders and patent medicines were found at Georgetown by Edward Santarpio of Medford, Mass., above, left, and Gerard H. Fischer of Winnetka, Ill., Harvard students, when they were dismantling an old drug store there. Santarpio holds two bottles of the cure all ills patent medicines and Fischer displays the old sign which shows Uncle Sam. Above the figure are the words "The Paper With a Heart and Soul." The metal sign, believed to be more than fifty years old, along with the other antiques, was found beneath the floor of the building which was constructed in 1867."; Title supplied.; R7100288390
