Summary	View of the northwest side of Altman, Colorado, located three miles north of Victor in Teller County, includes small wood frame residences, sheds, outhouses, false front businesses, smelters, mines, and tailing dumps. Business signs include: "Geo McMillan, Grocer" and "Johnson & Co., Dry Goods." The smokestack on the left is the Pharmacist Mine, center is the Free Coinage Mine. The "X" marks the location of James. G. Murphy (manager of the Findly Mine) and his wife Nellie Taylor's cabin, built in 1894. Snow-covered Pikes Peak and mountains are in the background.

Notes	Hand-lettered on back of photoprint: Altman, Colorado. Smoke stack to the left is the Pharmacist Mine. To the right is the Free Coinage Mine. The arrow to right marks the location of the cabin built by James G. Murphy, in 1894, when he married Nellie Taylor. Years later Mr. Murphy was manager of the Findly Mine.
