Summary	Possibly Elizabeth Winyan, poses with two other Native American Lakota Sioux women and a young girl, in a yard with a picket fence, South Dakota. Winyan stands and holds the girl; they wear Euro-American dresses. The two seated women wear cotton dresses with shawls, possibly on the Ponca Reservation, Nebraska.

Notes	Formerly F30165.; Title supplied; newspaper article on back of mat board: "...Mrs. Riggs of Oahe, Dak., missionary to the Indians the A. M. A., and an Indian woman, Mrs. Elizabeth Winyan, were next introduced. She told of the new boarding school with its forty pupils, and the thirteen out stations, one of these being entirely under the charge of Elizabeth, "who" Mrs. Riggs said, "is a mother not only to the Indian girls, but to the missionaries."; R7100317157
