Exterior view of Grace Episcopal Church on Taos Street in Georgetown, Colorado. The congregation was organized in 1867 by Reverend Winslow, church was built in 1869, and rebuilt after a windstorm the same year. The small building has a steep gabled roof, a cross at its apex, a quatrefoil window, a metal pipe chimney, a vestible with a pointed roof and cross, and a shed-like addition. Electrical wires connect to the wall. Concrete stairs on the right lead to a platform in front of the door; a sign beneath a pipe railing reads: "Commenced in 1867. Completed in 1869. Grace Episcopal Church. Grace Church Was the first church in Georgetown and is now the Oldest Episcopal Church Building in Colorado."

A handful of Episcopalians in upper Clear Creek valley have preserved this oldest church edifice of their faith with loving and faithful care. Recently painted in its original soft green color, the church holds services through the offices of an itinerant priest, reminiscent of earliest days of the mining camps."
