View of the home owned by Jesse Summers Randall, Georgetown, Colorado. Randall was the founder and editor of the Georgetown Courier newspaper, started in 1877. House construction was began in 1876. The building, eclectic in style, includes a porch in front of a gable roof section with a dormer, a tower with a pyramidal roof in the center, a gable end section with hipped section at the point, and an irregular roofline. A large potted plant and a bench are on the porch; a young man wearing a cap sits on the edge. The house is set above Second Street, slightly up Leavenworth Mountain. Tree branches are in the foreground in front of a stone wall and a wire fence.
