View, facing southeast on the Spruce Tree Canyon Trail, of Native American (Anasazi) cliff dwelling ruins, Mesa Verde National Park, Montezuma County, Colorado. The ruins of the mud and stone masonry Spruce Tree House stand underneath a cliffside overhang and have square and T-shaped door openings. The cliff overhang is stained from smoke. Spruce trees grow on top of the cliff as well as below the cliff dwelling ruins.
