Summary	View of the Alpine Hose Company No. 2 firehouse, Georgetown, Colorado, looking southeast. The building, built in 1874, is of wood construction with a sloping roof, and has a false cornice on the front. "Alpine Hose No. 2" is painted on the front. There are three windows on the second floor, which was used as a meeting room and office, and two on the first floor, where the hoses were kept. There is also a large door on the first floor for taking the hoses in and out. Attached to the back of the building is a large tower, which was built in 1880 when William Hamill offered to donate a bell if the company would build a tower for it. The tower also served as a lookout.
