Interior view of Trinidad Country Club, Trinidad, Colorado
Date
[1921-1925?]
Summary
The Trinidad Country Club, in Trinidad, Colorado, has an open log beam ceiling; squared beams with corbel ends run the other direction at a lower level. An adobe fireplace fitted with andirons is in back, with trophies on its mantle; Navajo urns are in niches flanking it. Double doors with full length paned glass and patterned sheer curtains flank the fireplace and are also on interior walls on both sides. An upright piano has sheet music on its stand; a leather divan, and side chairs in groups of two and three are at intervals around the perimeter of the main room. A rectangular arts and crafts style library table is in the center. Lamps hang from the open beams; they are square panels with frosted glass shades, and below each one hangs an upturned bowl. Navajo rugs are strewn on the wood floor throughout.
