The St. Aloysius Convent and School, a boarding and day school, was opened in 1875 in Central City, Colorado, by the Sisters of St. Aloysius. The Victorian building is a two and one-half story structure that accommodated up to one hundred seventy-five pupils and thirty-five boarders. It has two external staircases that lead to balconies on the first level. The second level also has balconies.
