Two houses built above a retaining wall stand on Eureka Street in Central City, Colorado. One house is a two-story, brick box with a flat roof, a double-bracketed cornice, a covered porch, and is separated from the other house by a white picket fence and vegetation. The second house is a one and one-half story, clapboard structure, with rectangular windows on both levels, shutters, a screen door, and a gabled roof with bargeboard gingerbread around the eaves. A picket gate leads to steps to the yard. A car is parked in front of the house.
