Summary
The
front
facade
of the
Murray
Building
in
Washington
County
,
Akron
,
Colorado
,
is
a
two-story
brick
commercial
building
built
in
1887
from
brick
manufactured
locally
either
in
1887
or
1903
. The
building
features
a
decorative
corbeling
and an
ornate
bracketed
cornice
. A
roof
covers
the
walkway
along
the
entire
front
where
there are
three
storefront
entries
with
large
pane
windows
and
panel
kickplates
. There
is
a
sign
on the
side
of the
building
"
Watson-[?]
Shoes
". On
another
building
down
the
street
is
"
[?]
Drug
Co.
,
Medicines
,
Chemicals
,
Paints
,
&
Oils
,
Jewelry
&
Silverware.
" A
one-story
brick
building
with
corbeling
and
front
awning
is
on the
left
.
Telephone
and
telegraph
poles
with
wires
are in
front
of the
Murray
Building
.
