Summary
Three soldiers of the 701st Tank Destroyer Battalion advance a tank destroyer mounted with three inch guns along a mountain road located, according to the caption, in the Mount Terminale area. The 701st was attached to the Tenth Mountain Division during the Italian Campaign. In the background are shelled buildings, a partially completed Bailey bridge, with five soldiers standing on it, as well as (according to the caption) a Sherman tank out of action.
