Summary
Patrols from two divisions meet at the Austrian-Italian border taken from the Austrian side. A sign with "HALT! Grenzkontrolle" is placed on the right side of a wide dirt road. A small wooden barrier marks the border. Seven GIs from the Seventh Army, 44th Division, 324th Infantry Regiment, rush to meet a patrol of four Tenth Mountain Division soldiers on the Italian side of the border during the Italian Campaign.
