Notes
Formerly F33821.; Penciled on back of photoprint: "Trim as [?] make 8 3/16 wide. The Colorado Association. 164. 12. No line 5499/7-2/133" and crop marks.; Title supplied by cataloger.; Typed paper attached to back of photoprint reads: "One of the most famous of Colorado ghost towns is Nevadaville, one mile from Central City in Gilpin County, Colorado. This is one of the earliest mining towns in Colorado, having been founded in 1860. Altho only one man is recorded as a resident of the town, it still is an incorporated city according to the U. S. census and receives a mill levy from Gilpin County which is spent in tending the main road thru the town. The reason for this is that several mines are still working above the town. The entire town is owned by a mining company which paid $1,000.00 for it some years ago at a sheriff's auction." [sic].; R7100112604
