Exterior view of the J. W. Fleming drugstore in Silverton Colorado, on the west side of Greene St. between 13th and 14th. This single story frame building has a false front topped by a bracketed cornice with dentils. Above the door, a sign reads J.W. Fleming. The storefront has plate glass windows framed by wooden, ornamented pilasters. Four men are standing in the doorway in sack suits with collars, vests, gold chains and planter's hats. Inside the store, a large mirror reflects a distorted image of the storefronts opposite. A boardwalk fronts the store, and crosses a narrow landscaped area into the dirt street. The landscaped area contains young pines which flank the entrance. Behind the trees in the left is a cast iron clock or sign pole.
