Title	Tom Hughes, early day photographer in Meeker
Summary	Seated portrait of Tom Hughes, taken in Mrs. William A Keller's front room of the ranch house outside of Meeker, near Coal Creek, Rio Blanco County, Colorado. A ornate rug serves as a backdrop, other props includes a small marble top table with a tasseled runner, potted geraniums, and a fox skin on the floral pattern carpet. Hughes had a photography studio in a tent in Meeker from 1897 to about 1900. Later moved to Denver and took photographs of floats in the Mountain and Plains Festival Parade. Died in California in the 1940-1950s; probably born in the 1870s.
