View of the sculpture "At the Library" (1981; Barry Rosen, artist) near the Broadway entrance to the Central Library branch of the Denver Public Library at 10 West Fourteenth (14th) Street in the Civic Center neighborhood of Denver, Colorado. Shows a sculpture of ceramic tiles depicting book shelves in front of the facade of the Burnham Hoyt reading room (the original 1955 building designed by Burnham Hoyt). The library's subtle play on classical composition includes two-story window bands representing a glazed colonnade, with third-story fenestration arranged like a frieze. The reinforced concrete frame is clad with Indiana limestone, shot-blasted to raise the horizontal grain. Flags and flagpoles are outside the library.
