Summary
Hispanic Americans Diego Antonio Gallegos and his wife María Odila Lobato de Gallegos pose for their wedding portrait. She wears a plain white dress with a low waist and flounced, lace over skirt. She wears a long veil, her hair is bobbed and she holds a bouquet of roses. Her husband wears a suit and a patterned silk tie, he sits on a prop wall beside his bride. They pose in front of a painted drop. The couple were from San Luis (Costilla County), Colorado.

As was the custom, his parents sent a letter to her parents requesting her hand in marriage. Odila was 27 years old when her parents received this proposal.
