View of 2621 Welton in the Five Points neighborhood, Denver, Colorado. The building houses the African American Protective Order of Dining-Car Waiters and Porters, Local #465, associated with the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters. The entrance is in the center of the building between two recessed doorways. The two story commercial style building has contrasting brick, brick corbeling, and the windows on the second floor are modified. Curtains are in the windows. Signs over the door read: "Budweiser" and "Fraternal Club Local 465 Waiters and Porters 2621 1/2." Two businesses are housed in the first story of the building. One is a sign store, letters painted in the window read: " Signs Expert Service 296-2498" another sign hanging in the window reads "break in again get shot." The other business has signs on the show windows that read: "Cigarette's" "Coon Hunters Welcome" " Pop, Candy" "Sherman's 1980s Shoppette, 'Private Investigator'" "Sherman's Summons & Process Server" and "Sherman's Delivery Service, 'Fast You Bet' -- Bonded." The building was built in 1880 and is part of the Welton Historic District.
