Paul Conrad/The Aspen Times After carrying a 350 pound black bear through heavy brush, Aspen Volunteer fire fighters rest as bruin lies on a rescue litter after it was tranquilized and captured behind the Herron Hollow home of Deb Adams-Welles in Aspen, Colo., Sunday afternoon July 23, 2006. Home owner Deb Adams-Welles says she came home to find the bear in her kitchen eating out of her refrigerator. The bear has broken into several homes through partially open windows in the upper class Red Mountain neighborhood of Aspen. Colorado Department of Wildlife officials deemed the bear dangerous and tranquilized in order to capture it, tag, catalog and relocate the bruin.
