From the Elizabeth B. Custer collection, owned by Christopher Kortlander. Christopher Kortlander (cq) ,is the Director of the Custer Battlefield Museum. This is a stereo view of the shooting of a now extinct prairie grizzly bear shot by Custer during the "Black Hills Expedition. The photos were taken by William H. Illingsworth. An entire set of stereo views belonging to Custer, were found in George Armstrong Custer's attic on North Custer Road residence in Monroe Michigan. The photos are part of the Elizabeth B.
