Greg Myers (cq, center left), 33, hugs his wife Kara (cq, center right) after learning he was matched with his first choice of residency programs as he and 121 other University of Colorado School of Medicine students learned where they will be spending the next three to five years of their lives Thursday March 16, 2006 at the Match Day Celebration Luncheon. Each graduating senior in the School of Medicine finds their "match" hospital from a list of four that the seniors submitted. Myers Myers is a graduate of Colorado State University, where he was scholar athlete of the year and voted one of the top eight student athletes in the nation. Myers played safety at CSU and was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1996 and also played a year for the Dallas Cowboys. He said that football was a bit of a sidetrack adding, "I always wanted to go to medical school". Myers was matched up with his first choice and will get to stay in Denver for his residency in anesthesiology.
