(LT. TO RT.) Colorado House Representative Jim Riesberg (D-Greeley) and Greeley Chief of Police Jerry Garner discussed and explained HB 1171 at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver Tuesday February 14, 2006. HB 1171 requires a driver convicted of an alcohol-related traffic offense with a 0.17 BAC or more to hold a restricted driver's license for at least one year, and drive with an ignition interlock device - which keeps the car from starting if the driver is drunk - for two years. Currently, a person is considered a persistent drunk driver with Blood Alcohol Content of 0.20. (ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS/MARIA J. AVILA) Jim Riesberg (CQ), Jerry Garner(CQ)
