(PRICE, Utah, SHOT 6/30/2004) An arrowhead found on the Wilcox Ranch that has already been recorded and logged. There are thousands of sites and many times more artifacts in excellent condition on the ranch near Price, Utah. Utah state officials gave members of the media a first glimpse of a vast historic and archaeological treasure as it unveiled the Wilcox Ranch near Price, Utah. The site was once home to the ancient Fremont people and is home to anywhere between 2,000 to 5,000 archaeological sites most of which are in excellent condition because of the remote location and the stewardship of the ranch's former owner, Waldo Wilcox. The state of Utah and the Federal Government have bought the site and officials in Utah are scrambling to record and document as many of the sites as possible for future research.
