With the cattle penned up behind them, Ken McCann(cq) (right), the General Chairman of Cheyenne Frontier Days, shakes hands with Dan Taylor(cq), 84, of Cheyenne, after a successful drive of more than 650 Corriente long horned steers from the pasture north of Cheyenne along I-25 and through the city streets into Frontier Park Sunday, July 16, 2006. The drive began at 8:30 a.m. after a chuck wagon breakfast. The route paralleled I-25 from the Horse Creek exit and ended at the Park. This year marks the 110th year of the Cheyenne Frontier Days event, the cattle drive is the opening event that stretches back for decades. Taylor, who still rides a horse, he said, serves as Chute 9 Boss, and has been part of the festival for more than 6 decades, he said. (DAVID M.
