At the Swift and Company Greeley beef plant in Greeley, many of the signs that label different areas are bilingual and at times only in Spanish including these signs above a parking tunnel that marks the employment office where new employees apply for a position and their citizenship status is checked. Colo. Tuesday July 11, 2006. The company adheres to all federal and state requirements for citizenship verification when employees are hired and even volunteers to use a federal pilot program that checks an employees social security number with their name.
