(06/28/2004, Denver, CO.) On Monday June 28, parties were held nationwide to discuss Michael Moore's new film, Fahrenheit 911, to figure out ways of defeating Bush in the next presidential election. The liberal advocacy group Moveon.org organized the night through its Internet mailing list. In the Denver metro area, dozens of these parties are being held. This party was in the home of John Erhardt and his wife Julie Pecaut and was one of 150 parties in Colorado, and 1200 people attended. Nationwide, 55,000 people attended 4600 parties. Julie Pecaut (l) counts raised hands during the meeting when the Moveon organizers were asking who would commit to signing up people to vote at the next Moveon event.
