Carolyn Metzler(cq), left, representing the republican party, and Bruce McNaughton(cq), representing the Green party work together to figure out the paper ballots during a mock election at the Denver Election Commission headquarters Thursday July 20, 2006. New Denver electronic touch-screen voting machines were tested against the paper ballots. Representatives from the Green, Democratic and Republican parties took part in the public logic and accuracy testing of the voting machines. The Denver Election Commission serves 360,000 voters in the City and County of Denver. The machines are maintained by Sequoia Voting Systems. (DAVID M.
