(BRUSH, Colo., June 9, 2004) Stan installs his self created dad-blocker at the top of the steps. It keeps him from misstepping down the stairs at night if he gets up to go to the bathroom. Once a night Stan wakes up Harold to make sure he gets a bathroom break. This is just a precaution. This day Stan drove Harold to the sunset. Harold is legally blind. The sunset was beautiful and they both broke out in song. Harold sings from memory and Stan harmonizes from repetitive hearing of the songs Harold recalls usually from a hundred years ago when his mother sang them to him. Stan often looks for ways to entertain himself while occupying Harold. Harold and Stan Gray are father and son. Harold is 103. Stan is 76. Stan retired from the air force as a pilot and moved back home to care for his ailing and aging father to allow him as long as possible to live outside a nursing home. (Photo by STEVEN R.
