Each small Italian town erupted in celebration as the Olympic Torch passed through on Wednesday February 8, 2006 including the small town of Moncalieri, Italy. The Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II in Moncalieri featured such costumes as the King of Peppers (center) and the Queen of Asparugus (not pictured). The Olympic Torch is traveling through the outlying towns around Turin, Italy on its way to start the 2006 Winter Olympics in the northern Italian town. The torch traveled through Settimo Torinese and Moncalieri as it circled the city of Turin on Wednesday February 8, 2006. (MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
