KAS194 Cindy Parrish (cq), left, talks to reporters about her husband, Bruce Lamberson (cq), right, and his recovery from a terrorist bombing during a checkup at the Institute for Limb Preservation at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital on Friday, June 30, 2006. The two were visiting Lamberson's daughter and her husband in Egypt in April when three terrorist bombs exploded near them. Lamberson's right leg was torn open near the ankle and some of Parrish's nerves were damaged. Doctors are now repairing Lamberson's shattered leg with a device that slowly moves a segment of tibia down, allowing new bone to grow in the open space until the entire bone is healed.
