KAS139 Julianna Gilbert, 10, yellow shirt, tries to cool off with her mother, Kate Gilbert (cq), after winning the girl's 10-year-olds race at the Mo Smith One Mile Challenge at South High School All City Stadium on July 2, 2006. The mile long races were held in conjunction with the North America Indigenous Games, but were open to kids ages six through 12 who otherwise couldn't compete in the games. Mo Smith was the first Native American to run a mile in less than four minutes. He is now in charge of this year's North American Indigenous Games.
