Figure 8 shows the first stone spear point, known as an Alberta Point, discovered at the Hudson-Meng Bison Kill in October 1971 by archaeologist Larry Agenbroad's crew, which later found 19 more partial and whole spear points at the site. Paleoindian hunters used spears to kill bison, sometimes driving them off cliffs at sites known as bison "jumps." Credit: Larry Agenbroad
