Figure 10 shows a large portion of the bison bone deposit excavated by archaeologist Larry Agenbroad in 1973. Agenbroad concluded that ancient hunters drove 400 to 600 bison over a small cliff about 10,000 years ago. The site, known as the Hudson-Meng Bison Kill, is near Crawford, Nebraska, about 330 miles northeast of Denver. Photo credit: Larry Agenbroad
