Forrest Farris (cq, right), 9, and his sister Kira (cq, left), 7, both of Conifer, honor the flag at the Centennial Ceremony at Mesa Verde National Park near Cortez, Co. on Thursday June 29, 2006. On June 29, 1906 Theodore Roosevelt designated Mesa Verde a national park, the first cultural national park in the history of the world. The park will celebrate it's 100th birthday with a weekend of events, dancing, musical entertainment and special tours of some of the cliff dwellings.
