(DENVER, Colo., Apr. 19, 2004) Colorado observed National Crime Victims' Rights Week with a public ceremony on Monday, April 19, 2004 at Denver's Civic Center Park. While headlines often focus on the criminal and the crime, Colorado took time out to honor victims. As his final tribute to victims as Denver's District Attorney, Bill Ritter (not shown) dedicated a park bench in honor of victim service providers. In addition, there were be brief remarks by victims of crime, a Mayoral proclamation and City Council resolution designating Crime Victims' Rights Week, the laying of a wreath at the Crime Victim's Memorial bench and more.
