Eileen Maresh (cq, center), 84, of Denver covers her head as rain starts to fall as former President Bill Clinton speaks Friday June 16, 2006 at a groundbreaking ceremony for the Columbine Memorial slated for Clement Park right next to Columbine High School. A committee has been working on raising funds for a memorial for nearly seven years and an estimated $1.14 million of the $1.5 million needed has been raised. Clinton promised to donate $50,000 at the event to trigger a matching grant by a local golf course. Maresh said she lived in Denver at the time of the school shootings in 1999and was deeply affected by the events. She also said she is a big fan of the former President and wanted to hear him speak.
