(LAKEWOOD, Colo., May 4, 2004) Garret Wilkes gets math help from Mrs. Joann Campbell individually at his desk during math lesson time. Mrs. Joann Campbell's second grade class was working on learning math skills before they went to practice flag football for their upcoming Field Day activities. Jefferson County School District is proposing solutions to their current budget crisis that would include a consolidation of elementary school classes reducing by 40 the number of teachers and shortening the school week to 4 days.
