Santiago Medina (cq), of Denver, lays his daughter Tatiana Medina (cq), 5, down on an exam table at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, Colo., on Thursday, June 8, 2006. Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center became a Colorado Chapter of Caps for Kids today and Tatiana received a cap. Tatiana is being treated for osteogenic sarcoma, a bone tumor. She received an endo prosthesis or "growing prosthesis" that can be lengthened as she grows in her leg that helped save it from amputation. Caps for Kids is a national program that tries to provide children undergoing treatment for cancer or other life-threatening illnesses a cap autographed by the celebrity of their choice.
