(Denver, Colorado, 11/29/2005) A man makes a call on his cell phone after trying to get into the Brown Palace Hotel for a lunch appointment was stopped by hotel security for 20 minutes while the hotel was being sweeped for President Bush's arrival. He was forced to wait among hundreds of Bush protesters beating pots and pans and yelling into loud speakers while security checked his reservations. The President was in town for a fundraising luncheon to support the candidacy of Marilyn Musgrave and a group of protesters from the peace & justice community were in front of the Brown Palace to meet him. They gathered at the State Capitol Building at 10:45 a.m., then walked over to the hotel. (JUDY DEHAAS/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
